The Presidents Cup, a team match-play competition featuring 24 of the world’s top golfers – 12 from the United States and 12 from around the world, excluding Europe – is held every two years, and since 1996 has alternated between United States and international venues.  The 2019 event will be played at The Royal Melbourne Golf Club from 9-15 December 2019. This will be the third time Royal Melbourne has hosted the event, following on from 1998 and 2011.  No other city outside the U.S has hosted the Presidents Cup more than once.
